A moment years in the making — more than 500 LISD TECH Center seniors marked their next steps Friday during Decision Day 2025.
Held each year around May 1, Decision Day celebrates graduating seniors and their post-secondary plans. It’s meant to spotlight students’ achievements and inspire younger peers to start planning early for life after high school.
From college and trade schools to military service and straight-to-work jobs, TECH Center seniors are heading down all kinds of paths. Many earned industry certifications through their programs. Some even leave high school with college credit — thanks to partnerships like the College Now dual enrollment program.
- This school year, students earned over 2,400 college credits through dual enrollment.
- 235 seniors are heading to college or trade programs.
- 17 have enlisted in the Armed Forces.
- 88 are going pro — entering the workforce with skills in hand.
- 10 students earned Jackson College certificates in production and welding.
- And 5 seniors completed graphic design production certificates before even collecting their high school diplomas.
Decision Day 2025 may be over — but for these students, the real journey is just getting started.
