The Greater Lenawee Chamber of Commerce celebrated excellence in business, community service, and leadership during its annual awards ceremony held Thursday, May 1, at the Adrian Armory.
Mark and Mary Murray received the prestigious Addison J. Comstock Award for their work revitalizing the Armory and launching more than 20 businesses through their program, Launch Lenawee. In her acceptance speech, Mary said promoting Adrian’s business success is her passion, calling the award, “about the best recognition you could ever get.”
Ashley King accepted the Growing Talent Award on behalf of Creek Enterprises, recognizing their commitment to workforce development.
Haley Entmaa* was honored as Outstanding Young Professional. Edmond, a lifelong Lenawee County resident and Adrian College alum, serves on multiple nonprofit boards and encourages others—especially Gen Z—to make a difference through everyday acts of kindness.
Other honorees included Sue Lewis of Catholic Charities, Mary Roberts as Chamber Ambassador of the Year, Habitat for Humanity, the Tecumseh Area Historical Society, and County National Bank. The evening ended on a sweet note—with cobbler served to attendees and a reminder of upcoming Chamber events in May.
