ADRIAN, Mich. — The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs is inviting local women veterans to a special evening of celebration and connection.
The 2nd Annual Women Veterans Appreciation Day will take place on Thursday, June 12, at the Adrian Armory.
The event marks the anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act, signed into law on June 12, 1948, recognizing the vital contributions of women in the U.S. military.
The evening will feature a complimentary dinner, door prizes, an inspiring guest speaker, and the chance to build community with fellow women veterans.
Organizers say this free event is created by women veterans, for women veterans — a true celebration of service, strength, and sisterhood.
