ADRIAN, Mich. — It’s time to party at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds for this year’s Chico’s Cinco de Mayo celebration.

The event kicks off Saturday, May 3rd, with a parade stepping off at 1 p.m. at Greenly and Maumee Street. After the parade, the celebration continues at the fairgrounds with food trucks, dancing, a video game truck for kids, and live music starting at 5 p.m.

Admission to the main event is $10, which goes directly to fund the Chico Martinez Memorial Scholarship. This year, two students will be honored — one from Adrian Public Schools and one from elsewhere in Lenawee County — with a total of $3,500 in awards.

Bands include La Nueva Onda, La Corporación, and Ramon Lucio, who’s traveling all the way from Texas.
