David Arthur Rosier, age 85, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away at home on Saturday, April 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.
David was the oldest of Howard and Dorothy (Leach) Rosier’s five children. He was born on March 1, 1940, in Leslie, Michigan. He attended Leslie Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1958.
On October 19, 1972, David married Doris (Huffine) Jenks in their hometown of Leslie, MI. This union brought together two families which made for a lot of excitement when all seven children were together.
In 1979, David and Doris started Rosier’s Meat Market in Adrian and quickly became a well-known establishment in the local community and surrounding areas. Along with fresh cut meat, you could find wonderful options at the deli counter for entertainment or supplies for all your cake decorating needs. David was ready to slow down a little and spend more time out on the golf course, so they sold the business in 2002. Woodlawn was his home golf course, where he was active in several leagues, and took many golf trips with his golfing buddies and family. David was a talented woodworker and made a variety of gifts for his family. David and Doris were long time members of Weston Church of the Good Shepherd, formerly Weston Methodist Church. David’s engaging personality and social demeanor made many fond memories with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, David is survived by their children, David (Lorraine) Jenks, Lorri (David) Rosier-Wheeler, Michael (Beverly) Rosier, Daryl (Roxanne) Jenks, Jeff (Sherry) Rosier, Ed (Shelly) Jenks and Thomas (Tracy) Rosier; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Pat Mackinder, Gerald Rosier and Al (Jan) Rosier. David was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Veverlon Haynes.
A memorial service for David will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
