MICHIGAN – Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has been voted Michigan’s most popular national park to visit during National Park Week.
That’s according to a national survey of more than 3,000 travelers, asking which park they’d visit if distance wasn’t a factor. Sleeping Bear ranked 80 overall; praised for its towering dunes, crystal-clear lakes, and kid-friendly trails.
Two other Michigan parks also made the list: Holland State Park came in at 147, known for its red lighthouse and beachside sunsets. Tahquamenon Falls State Park ranked 173, home to one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi.
The poll, released by Gunther Volvo Coconut Creek, highlights the most dreamed-of parks for a family road trip.
National Park Week runs April 19 through April 27.
