TECUMSEH, Mich. – A new service dog has joined the Tecumseh Public Schools community to provide emotional support for students.

Superintendent Matt Hilton introduced the dog, a young pup named Daisy, during a recent school board meeting. He says Daisy arrived just last week and is currently adjusting to her new environment while continuing her training.

Staff members have already begun working with Daisy, though she’s not quite ready to begin regular duties in the schools.

Once fully certified, Daisy will help provide comfort and support to students across the district.
