
Lois Fern Kahle was born on October 10, 1932, in Madison Twp., Michigan, to Claude and Thelma LaMay. On June 15, 1952, she married Richard “Dick” Kahle of Tipton at Tipton Community Church, and together they made Tecumseh their lifelong home.
Lois dedicated 40 years of service to Tecumseh Products before retiring in 1994. She later spent 22 more years working at Busch’s Fresh Food Market, officially retiring at the remarkable age of 84.
A devoted member of Tipton Community Church, Lois remained faithful in her attendance, even attending services the Sunday before her passing. She was also an enthusiastic fan of the Detroit Tigers and treasured time spent with her loved ones above all else.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Pam (Keith) Belanger; granddaughter, Angie (Mike) Gwilt; and grandson, Kevin (Angie) Belanger. She also leaves behind five cherished great-grandchildren: Gavin, Aubree, Kaden, Blake, and Easton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, Claude and Thelma, and her dear niece, Claudia Mitchell. Lois will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her deep love for family, and her warm, friendly spirit.
A funeral service for Lois will take place at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 6:00 pm with Pastors Eric Hickman and Pam Morton officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Tipton Community Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
