Monroe, MI – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is reporting once again this year that Monroe high school seniors are continuing the tradition of playing the “Senior Assassins” game.
The game involves students “stalking” and “shooting” each other with water guns in an attempt to be the last senior standing.
Because the game involves a certain degree of hiding and seeking in an effort to surprise other players, the police inevitably get calls reporting suspicious subjects that turn out to be students playing the game.
Sheriff Troy Goodnough reminds those high school seniors playing they game to only use water pistols that are brightly colored and clearly toys, and not to hide in dark places, wear masks or camoflage, or trespass on other people’s property.
If you see the police, do not run or hide; explain to the officers what you are doing and cooperate. Sheriff Goodnough also reminds residents to call 911 if they see anything suspicious, and not to confront suspicious people.
