Adrian, MI – If newly-appointed Adrian City Administrator Vince Emrick comes to terms with the City about employment in his new role, he will be facilitating a search for two key roles within City Hall. The two jobs are his replacement as Police Chief, and the search for Adrian’s next City Clerk.
The Clerk’s position has been open for a few weeks, and Emrick said that the search would continue, as is. He told WLEN News that he has one strong internal candidate for Police Chief, and he will see what other interest is generated.
When asked about the decision to appoint him as City Administrator not being unanimous, Emrick said that he would have liked it to play out differently, but understands why it went the way that it did. He told WLEN News that it is exciting to be involved in new things…
There must be an employment agreement between the two parties before he can work in the official capacity.
