Lenawee Imagination Library Exceeds March Fundraising Goal

book-open

Adrian, MI – The Lenawee Imagination Library, a program of the Lenawee Community Foundation, raised $21,602.44 in March, exceeding the $15,000 goal thanks to the dollar-for-dollar match by Midwest Energy and Communications who matched the first $7,500.

The generous donations from MEC and the Lenawee community will be used to cover the cost of mailing books to children in Lenawee County. The LCF’s partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library ensures all Lenawee County children can have a selection of books at home.

The Dollywood Foundation covers overhead costs associated with making the program available in local communities. With these contributions, the Lenawee Community Foundation and Lenawee Imagination Library are only responsible for the at-cost book and mailing expenses for children registered in the county.
