
Dundee, MI – A 62-year-old Detroit man was killed by a machine while working on the assembly line at the Stellantis Dundee Engine Plant early Monday morning. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident occurred at around 1:25am. The victim was transported to St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor where he would later be pronounced deceased.
Stellantis said in a statement to WDIV-TV in Detroit that, “Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends and coworkers of the Dundee Engine Plant employee who was involved in a fatal workplace accident this morning.”
The victim has not been identified by name. The incident has been reported to MIOSHA for investigation.
