LINDSEY HERBERT “LJ” JONES, age 66 years of Adrian, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian.
He was born on July 25, 1958, in Adrian, the son of Sidney and Barbara Jean (Harsh) Jones. Lindsey married Dawn Renee Jordan on October 15, 1977, in Adrian. She survives. Lindsey had a passion for the outdoors and loved growing up and helping on the family farm. It was his love of classic cars that fueled a successful career in the car business, owning and at working dealerships, including the Lafontaine brand, until his retirement. He enjoyed life during retirement spending time with his family, pets and working outside. He was dearly loved and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Surviving besides his wife Dawn are their two children, Patrick (Erin) Jones and Samantha Jones; three grandchildren, Gavin, Greyson and Garrison Jones; his father-in-law, Richard Jordan; two brothers, Lesley (Kim) Jones, Leon (Linda) Jones; a sister, Lissa (Todd) Bechler, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Bonnie Jordan.
Private family burial of his cremains will take place at a later date in West Adrian Cemetery, Adrian.
