David Patrick Hamann, age 71, of Adrian, Michigan, died Thursday, March 27, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
Dave was born on January 25, 1954, in Adrian, MI, the oldest of David L. and Patricia E. (Simonds) Hamann’s four children. Dave was a great “big brother” to his three younger sisters and there was always a lot of fun and mischief when he would babysit. Dave graduated from Adrian High School with the Class of 1972 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army.
After Dave was discharged from the Army, he went to work at Wacker Chemical where he was a chemical operator before going into maintenance. Dave liked gaming online and the connections he made with fellow gamers. He was a lifelong dog lover and routinely took his fur babies on numerous walks every day; it was not uncommon to see Dave walking all four of his dogs at one time. He had a soft spot for Bichon Frisé and Beagles. Dave had a green thumb and could be found working in his flower beds and with his hanging flowers. He loved being outdoors, always making sure the squirrels and hummingbird feeders were filled.
Dave leaves behind his three sisters, Pam (Dale) Fisher, Sue Hamann and Patty Hamann; his good friend, Rylee Dickey; and his wonderful fur babies, Snoopy, Chloe, Tedd and Sissy.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
