Adrian, MI – A long-time broadcaster in the Lenawee County community retired today. Steve Barkway has over 52 years in broadcasting under his belt, wearing many hats at the Lenawee Broadcasting Company. Barkway was a 103.9fm WLEN Morning Show Host, Sports Director, Sports Producer, Salesman, and Sales Manager.

He retired from the Moring Show a few years ago, but held a part time role as Sports Director/Producer, which allowed him to spend more time with his kids and grandchildren. Barkway officially retired from the part time position today.

“Thank you Steve for all the years and all the award winning programming you have produced over that time. We will miss you but know you’ll be enjoying family time, which is so very important!” said Lenawee Broadcasting Company Owner/General Manager Julie Koehn on Barkway’s retirement.
