Adrian, MI – The Adrian Police Department is investigating a stabbing that they say took place at around 2:45pm Wednesday near Maple and Ormsby Streets. APD says that an altercation occurred in which the victim was stabbed in the upper back, causing a lung to collapse.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by the Adrian Fire Department for treatment. The victim is expected to recover. Adrian Police detectives have developed a suspect in this crime, and seek to interview any witnesses with information.
APD says that there is no known threat to the general public safety at this time, as it is believed that the suspect and victim are known to each other and that this was not a random event. Anyone with information regarding the stabbing, or any witnesses that have not yet made a statement to police, should contact the Adrian Police Department.
