Karen Kay Pawliski – Toledo

Karen Kay Pawliski, age 79, a lifelong resident of Toledo, passed away suddenly on March 21, 2025, at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
She was born on August 10, 1945, in Toledo to Charles N. and Ellen F. (Weber) Richmond. Karen was a graduate of Bedford High School. She married Joseph W. Pawliski Jr., and he preceded her in death on September 30, 1980.
Karen was a bus driver for Washington Local Schools for many years before retiring. She was an avid animal lover who cared for many types of animals throughout her years, especially her Yorkie puppies. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Karen will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Matthew C. Pawliski, Scott P. Pawliski and Christopher W. Pawliski; brother, Marshall Richmond; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Joe, Sam, Asher, Charlie, and Ashlyn; 4 great grandchildren, Kira, Leo, Eastyn and Harleigh. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles N. and Ellen F. (Weber) Richmond; husband, Joseph W. Pawliski Jr.; son, Robert J. Pawliski, granddaughter, Shyla Pawliski, and sister, Janet Long.
Karen’s family will receive guests on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Wagley Funeral Home,Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield, MI. Sharing memories will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home, cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Toledo Humane Society.
