Gary Robert Miller, age 64, of Tipton, Mi, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at his place of business in Clinton, MI, while carrying out his life’s passion. He was born on October 4, 1960 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Gary Reed and Diane Elizabeth (DeVee) Miller. On October 23, 1981 Gary was joined in marriage in the Milan Methodist Church in Milan, MI, to Holly Lynne Heck, and they enjoyed over forty-three years together.

Gary was self employed as an auto mechanic and he owned and operated Gary’s Service Center in Clinton, MI for eighteen years. Outside of work, Gary’s main focus was spending time with his grandsons, Logan and Ethan. His other love was participating in outdoor activities. For over eighteen years Gary had a “side by side” group that he went up north with to their cabin, “Crooked Water Lodge”, in Onaway, MI. In his younger years he was a very good water skier, in later years he loved making laps around the Lake on his pontoon boat. Gary also loved snowmobiling and golfing with his sons and brother-in-law Ronnie at Raisin Valley on the Muk’s League.

In addition to his wife, Holly, Gary is survived by his mother, Diane (Doug) Mattis of Tipton; his sons, Chad (Danielle Matthews) Miller of Tecumseh, MI, and Kyle (Agathi) Miller of Adrian, MI; his grandchildren, Logan and Ethan Miller of Adrian, MI; his sister, Wendy (Ronnie Mukensturm) Miller of Tipton, MI; and his mother-in-law, Janice Heck of Brooklyn, MI.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Gary; his father-in-law, Larry Heck; his grandparents, Robert and Margaret Devee; and his grandma Pete.

A Celebration of Life for Gary, officiated by Pastor Matt Carlton, will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until the beginning of the celebration. Memorial contributions in Gary’s honor may be made to his grandsons’ college education fund.
