Barbara Rose Mitchell, age 84, of Toledo, OH, formerly of Adrian, MI, passed away peacefully, March 2, 2025, at Lakes of Monclova, Maumee, Ohio.
She was born June 4, 1940, in Gary, IN, the daughter of Michael and Rose (Robeson) Buku.
Barbara was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1958.
During her life in Petersburg, she sang in the choir at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church,
Deerfield, MI. She attended services at Tecumseh Assembly of God and enjoyed golfing in later years. Barbara was also a member of Petersburg BUNCO Club.
She is survived by her children; Kit (Gary) Lofgren, Kyle (Dawn) Petee,
Rhys (Jamee “Abbi”) Petee, Reed Petee; step-son, Dennis Mitchell;
12 grandchildren; great granddaughter; brother; Mike (Michelle) Buku;
and sister, Elise Howard, and Judy Buku.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Ronald Petee and Dwight Mitchell;
sisters; Rosemary Buku and Sharon Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Purse & Son
Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI with Rev. Fr. John Linden officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh, MI.
Visitation will also take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh, MI, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service.
