Julia Sweet Bachi, age 90, of Adrian, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center, with family by her side.
She was born on August 14, 1934, in Adrian, to Milburn and Hilda (Barber) Reattoire. Julie worked as an in-home health assistant for various families in Ann Arbor before transitioning to a role as a desk clerk at the Holiday Inn in Adrian.
Julie had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She found great joy in flower gardening and eagerly awaited the blooming of her favorite flowers each year, especially lilacs. Sunday drives were a cherished pastime for her, offering moments of peace and reflection. Known for her feisty spirit, Julie took great pride in her appearance and was always loved getting her hair done.
To cherish her memory, Julie leaves her sons: Norman (Janet) Sweet, Charles (Roxann) Sweet, David (Judy Fee) Sweet, Robb Sweet, Herman Jr. (Jamie) Sweet, and Michael Sweet; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harlan Sweet; and two brothers, Gary and Frederick Speelman.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm with Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Center Cemetery.
