Adrian, MI – The Adrian Police Department has announced the arrest of the man accused of stabbing a woman Sunday. The APD said they obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, and within a couple hours, identified an Adrian residence the suspect was staying in.

A search warrant for the residence was obtained, and the suspect was taken into custody inside the home without incident. He has been lodged at the Lenawee County Jail on the charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying with Unlawful Intent, and Unlawfully Driving Away in an Automobile.

APD says that the suspect’s identity will not be released until he has been arraigned in 2A District Court. They say that this is done to avoid prejudicing defendants, which can harm victims of crimes by negatively affecting cases in court.

Anyone with additional information on the case, or any witnesses that have not yet made a statement to police, should contact the Adrian Police Department. The APD was assisted by the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team and the Region of the Irish Hills Narcotics Office.
