Lorraine Elenor Van Alstine, age 82, of Tecumseh, MI passed away on Friday February 14, 2025 at the Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home in Adrian, MI. She was born on June 16, 1942 a daughter of the late John and Lottie Ruth ( ? ) Hagerty. On October 6, 1962 she married Laurence Robert Van Alstine Jr. in East Detroit, MI and they have shared over 62 years together.
Lorraine volunteered for many years at Herrick Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, taking care of her potted plants, cooking and she never met a stranger.
Along with her husband, Laurence, Lorraine is survived by a son, Laurence (Shayna) Van Alstine III of Adrian Twp, MI; two grandchildren, Joel (Amber) Covell of Monroe, MI and Laurence (Genelle) Van Alstine IV of Memphis, TN; two great-grandchildren, Isaac and Aiden Covell of Monroe, MI. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a brother.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. She will be buried in Brookside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee Humane Society.
