Erwin L. Harcourt, age 91, passed away on February 13, 2025, at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1933, to Maxwell and Ruth (Pickford) Harcourt in Hudson, Michigan.
Erwin was a graduate of Adrian High School. After high school he proudly defended our country in the United States Army. On June 8, 1957, he married the love of his life, Etta Irene Mepham in Clayton, Michigan. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he went to work for Adrian College in their maintenance department. Erwin was an avid outdoorsman and traveler. Hunting was one of his favorite pastimes and he would often travel to other states on hunting trips. Going on cruises with his family was another thing he looked forward to and enjoyed. When he was home you could always find him watching a game on TV. His favorite teams to watch were the Red Wings or the Tigers. Above all Erwin was a family man. The time he spent with family was the time he enjoyed the most.
Left to honor and cherish Erwin’s memory are wife, Irene; son Steven (Shae France) Harcourt; daughters, Cheryl (Wendle) Morgret, Vickie (John) Kegerreis; sisters, Janice Berkshire, Donna (Richard) Moore; nine grandchildren, Christie Marr, Matthew Kegerreis, Paul Harcourt, Jamie Austin, Heidi Morgret, Nicole Cogley, Jocee Duchesneau, Dylan France, Aina Appova and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Carl Philo.
Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
