Black History Month Declared in Lenawee County by Board of Commissioners

Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners officially proclaimed February 2025 as Black History Month at their most recent meeting. Commissioner David Stimpson was joined by members of the Lenawee County NAACP as he read the proclamation, which recognized the contribution of African Americans to our local and national history…

 

The proclamation further encouraged local residents and organizations to take the opportunity to reflect on the lasting impact of African Americans throughout history…

 

Commissioners passed the proclamation by a unanimous roll call vote.
