Lori Ann Schadewald, age 64, of Adrian, passed peacefully surrounded by her closest family on Monday, February 10, 2025, at her Hampton Manor home. She was born on August 20, 1960, in Tecumseh, to Don and Norma (Richardson) Schadewald. Lori graduated from Adrian High School. She was a dedicated employee for 18 years at Country Market as the scan coordinator. A devoted member of Turning Point Church, Lori cherished every service she was able to attend and made many special friends who meant so much to her. She loved Jesus fiercely and was eager to meet her Savior. She found joy in life’s simplest pleasures, especially watching deer and hummingbirds out her window, while drinking a McDonald’s mocha frappe. Above all else, Lori deeply adored her two grandsons and joyfully anticipated the arrival of another grandson. Left to cherish her memory, Lori leaves her children: Drew Ann (Dylan), her beloved step children, Bill (Megan) Belanger, Candis (Matt) Carpenter, and Kelsey (Charlie) Deshler; grandchildren, Summit, Saxton, and one baby boy on the way; stepmother, Ruth Schadewald; and siblings: Jeff Schadewald, Sandy Kudlac, Sherri Hughes, Marilyn Burger, Russ Schadewald; step sister, Donna Briggs; and several neces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Terry Allen; two step siblings, Jimmy and Gary Pate; and a grandson, Boston; and her two favorite pets, Taz and Mandy. The family would like to share a special heartfelt thank you to Hampton Manor of Adrian. The staff and residents held a very special place in Lori’s heart. Cremation has taken place but family will be having a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Turning Point Church, 3300 Baldwin Hwy, Adrian MI. Lori was the type of person to find the best in every situation, even in her sickness. She left a hole in so many hearts that can never be filled. She will be missed by so many, but forever will be a “golden girl” in Jesus’ arms. Arrangements entrusted to Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
