Tecumseh, MI – Tecumseh’s City Manager has declared a Snow Emergency for the City of Tecumseh in accordance with City Ordinance Section 78-115. The Emergency will be in effect for the entire city from 12 Noon Wednesday, February 12th through 12 Noon Thursday, February 13th.
The Snow Emergency means that parking a motor vehicle on a public street or highway in the City shall be prohibited.
The City is asking residents to make every effort to park in a driveway or designated public parking lot. Their goal of declaring the Snow Emergency, per the press release issued by the City, is to clean the streets more efficiently and not to write violation tickets. However, the Tecumseh Police Department may issue violations to any vehicle that is parked on a City street during this time.
