Adrian, MI – A probable cause hearing was held today for on-leave Adrian High School Band Director Aaron Mykeloff, who is charged with four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct.
The 50-year-old Mykeloff, who was arrested February 3rd, waived his right to a preliminary examination. Mykeloff’s case will proceed to circuit court, and will continue with a pretrial date set for Wednesday, February 19th.
A news release by Adrian Public Schools says that he was immediately placed on leave, and that the district is actively cooperating with law enforcement.
The Raisin Township Police Department, who investigated the matter, said that Mykeloff is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with a minor, but that the investigation did not lead officers to believe this was connected in any way to his employment.
Mykeloff is lodged at the Lenawee County Jail with bond set at $400,000. If anyone has further information related to the investigation, they are asked to contact the Raisin Township Police Department.
