David Allen Marty, age 60, of Britton, MI, passed away at ProMedica Hickman Hospital in Adrian, MI on Monday, January 20, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1965 in Fargo, ND, the son of Patrick John Marty and Sharron Kay (Confer) Morden. He was joined in marriage with Marilyn Cruz on June 3, 2011 in the State of Ohio.
After graduating high school, David served his country as a U.S. Marine. He then worked for twenty-eight years at the Ford Motor Company as a machine operator. In addition to spending time in his yard, David enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. Another of his favorite pastimes was snorkeling, and he especially loved the beaches in the Philippines.
In addition to his wife, Marilyn, David is survived by his sons, Dakota Scott-Michael Marty, and Anthony Andrew Marty; his brothers, Mike and Tom; and his sister Linda.
David was preceded in death by his step-father, Max Morden
At David’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life, officiated by Pastor Tom Hawkins, will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and will continue until the service at the funeral home.
