ROSA L. SANCHEZ, age 94, of Adrian, passed away on February 1, 2025, at ProMedica Charles and Virgina Hospital in Adrian. She was born October 24, 1930, in San Antonio, TX to Santos and Dominga (Cano) Lopez. She married Deodoro “Ted” Sanchez on October 20, 1952, in Detroit. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1967.
Rosa loved Mexican dances and enjoyed cooking for friends and family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Carmen) Sanchez, Ricardo (Laura) Sanchez; five daughters, Sylvia Sanchez, Vivian (Abel) Ramos, Mary (Ruben) Ramos, Julie (Tom) Ramos, and Dora (Andy) Sanchez; 25 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. And 4 great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and four sisters, Josephina Lopez in infancy, Amelia Villegas, Matilde Gonzales and Anita Paiz; three brothers Ancencion Lopez, Ramon Lopez, and Louis Lopez.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church presided by Fr. Michael Newman, OSFS. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, where there will be a Rosary Prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 until mass begins.
