Charline Adrian – Blissfield

Charline Adrian, age 86, of Blissfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, MI. She was born on January 7, 1939, in McCrory, Arkansas to Lawrence and Gladys (Higgs) Broadwater.

Charline was a graduate of Blissfield High School. She then married Arnold “Gary” Adrian on October 26, 1957, in Blissfield. Together, they raised two daughters and were blessed with 60 years together before his passing on January 19, 2017. Charline and Gary shared a love for traveling to Branson, Missouri, where they delighted in the local shows, attractions, and the scenic charm of the area.

Charline was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend, with a heart full of pride for her five grandchildren. She was their biggest supporter, always cheering them on in everything they pursued. Charline also found happiness in creating beautiful flower arrangements, which brought great delight to many around her. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending her free time reading, along with playing board games, which brought her great joy and many fun moments with family and friends.

For 30 years, Charline worked as a Paraprofessional in the Blissfield Community Schools system. She was also an active member of her community, serving as a Campfire leader and on the Campfire board for 50 years. Charline worshiped at Zion United Brethren Church in Ogden, MI.

She is survived by her two daughters, Leigh Anne (Robert) Stucker of Blissfield and Cyndee (Brian) McEwan of New Orleans, LA; five grandchildren, Hannah (Alexander) Young, Jonathon (Jennifer) McEwan, Kelsey (Emilio) Rosas, Max McEwan, and Addie McEwan; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, Rob (Aimee) Stucker, and Sara (Garrett) Barth; one niece; one nephew; sister, Ruth Adrian of Brooklyn; and Wanda Sheldon of Blissfield, who was like a sister to her. Charline was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers in infancy; and a brother-in-law, James Adrian.

At Charline’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home in Blissfield on Saturday March 29th from 10:00 until the memorial service begins at 11:00. Pastor Aden Porter will officiate.
