Adrian, MI – A public forum was held on Tuesday night at Adrian High School to talk about a proposed indoor community recreation facility on Adrian Public Schools property.
The purpose of the forum, which is the first of two planned forums on the topic, was to gather feedback on the feasibility of a bond proposal to develop the facility.
APS Superintendent Nate Parker led discussion of the proposal, after which audience members broke out into groups to provide feedback and ask questions.
WLEN News spoke with Parker after the event about what the proposed facility would look like and what it would have to offer for students and community members alike…
If the project is approved, a millage of .75 mills over twenty years would be required to fund construction and operation costs of the facility. Parker hopes for the millage to appear on the Adrian ballot this November.
