
Raisin Twp., MI – An 18-year-old male from Michigan was transported to an out-of-state hospital, and a 49-year-old Ohio man was taken to Hickman Hospital for minor injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Raisin Township.
Police Chief Kevin Grayer said in a press release that the two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Green Highway and Gady Road just before 5pm.
Police, and a witness, determined that the 18-year-old was traveling westbound on Gady Road in a white GMC pickup, disregarded the stop sign at the intersection, and was hit on the driver’s side door by the 49-year-old male traveling northbound on Green Highway in a black Toyota pickup.
Chief Grayer said that the Ohio man was unable to avoid striking the Michigan man.
The Raisin Township Police Department was assisted by the Raisin Township Fire Department, Tecumseh Fire Department, Tecumseh Police Department, Lenawee County Ambulance, Metro Life Flight and the Lenawee County Accident investigation team.
