Prior to his retirement in 2017, he was the manager of the Pittsford Grain Elevator, a job he worked for 47 years. In his free time, Larry enjoyed gardening in his huge city-lot size garden, producing many canning jars of vegetables each season. A fan of all sports, Larry followed NASCAR and Pro football, and he was an avid supporter of the Detroit Tigers and Redwings. He also enjoyed hunting and bluegill fishing, and was a talented baseball and softball player.
