Barbara Joan Stewart, age 65, of Adrian, MI, passed away unexpectedly at home Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Barb was born on July 5, 1959, in Adrian, MI, the sixth child to Calvin and Anna Mae (Pelham) Beaubien’s eight children. She attended Adrian Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1977.
Barb started her career working at Wacker in Adrian during high school through the co-op program; and continued after graduation working in the role of buyer for over 20 years. Barb went on to work at Masco for several years before changing her career path and going into the field of caregiver. Her gentle personality and nurturing side were wonderful traits to have in providing excellent care for others. Barb truly made a difference in the lives of many individuals. Barb enjoyed playing euchre with friends and had a green thumb when it came to raising house plants.
She is survived by her children, Keegan Stewart, Dustin (Christina) Stewart, Bryan Stewart, Katy (Tyler) Kemp and John Paul Wagner; grandchildren, Kyle Stewart, Gage Stewart and Calvin Stewart; siblings, Cathy Beaubien (Mark Van Steenkiste), Pat (Steve) Mills, Mike (Sherrie) Beaubien, Dan (Becki) Beaubien, Steve Beaubien and Tom (Cindy) Beaubien; and many wonderful nieces and nephews that she cherished. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, James; and nephew, Ryan Mills.
Following Barb’s wishes, cremation will take place. There will be a Celebration of Life for Barb on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the White Birch Wedding Barn in Cement City, MI. Please come and share your memories and stories with Barb’s family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kyle Stewart for his continuing education.
