Albert James Constable, age 82, of Sand Creek passed away on January 17, 2025, at Toledo Hospital. He was born on October 24, 1942, to James and Vaneita (Elliott) Constable in Addison, Michigan.
Albert was a high school graduate of Sand Creek High School. After high school he went on to proudly serve his country first in the United States Air Force and then after being honorably discharged, joined the Air National Guard where he served over 30 years in Toledo, Ohio. Albert was a hard worker. He opened and ran his own machine shop in Sand Creek prior to working at Delphi for a total of 27 years. When Albert wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time in the U.P. An outdoorsman at heart he enjoyed deer hunting and was an avid bear hunter. A person would be hard pressed to find a Sand Creek sporting event Albert did not attend. In the summer months sweet corn was always a must, he loved it. In fact, in his younger years he could eat a dozen ears by himself! Albert was a man of faith and was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd in Weston, the church that he in fact helped name. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Albert will forever be missed by so many.
Left to cherish the memory of Albert are his wife, Paula; son, Alan (Kristy) Constable; daughter in law, Cheri Constable; grandchildren, A.J. Constable, Kara (Matt) Wetzel, Miranda Constable and 2 great-grandchildren; beloved fur babies, Kane, Zoe and Pistol and numerous lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Albert (Bert) Jeffrey Constable.
Cremation has taken place. The family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of Good Shepherd in Weston, Michigan.
