
Adrian, MI – Adrian Public Schools has released a statement congratulation Springbrook Middle School’s Robotics Team, coached by teacher Sheri Johnston, on their success at a recent competition held in Hudson.
The event, which took place in December, showcased the talents of middle school students from various schools across Michigan, and Springbrook’s teams delivered outstanding performances across multiple challenges.
In the “Robo Challenge,” the duo of Owen Salenbien and Greyson Butts secured first place, while their classmates, Liam Plate and Ryder Dowling, also performed admirably, earning third place in the same category.
The “Swept Away” game saw further success for Springbrook, with the team consisting of Wyatt Soule, Andrew Betz, Myles Powell, and Adam Beutler achieving second place, while Parker Smith and Brysen Smith clinched third.
Every participating team from Springbrook secured at least one match victory during the competition, which was noted in the statement as a reflection of their “depth of talent and preparation.”
Springbrook Principal Adam Benschoter shared his pride in the students’ achievements, commenting, “Our students’ performance in this competition reflects their dedication, teamwork, and the high-quality education their receive at Springbrook Middle School… Seeing them excel and represent our school with such distinction is inspiring.”
APS Superintendent Nate Parker also commended the team’s success, saying, “The accomplishments of our Springbrook Middle School Robotics Team highlight the hard work and dedication of both our students and educators… These achievements reflect our district’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in STEM education.”
