Patrick Henry Hinde, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center in Adrian, Michigan. He was born on January 23, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to L. Russell and Rosemary (Wilcox) Hinde. Following the passing of his mother, Rosemary, Pat’s father, Russell, married Margaret, who became a cherished presence in his life.
Pat’s professional journey began at Toledo Scale before he pursued his entrepreneurial ambitions. He founded Hinde Accounting, where his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence earned the trust and respect of his clients. In addition to his accounting career, Pat served as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau Insurance for an impressive 35 years. His outstanding contributions in this role were recognized with the prestigious Leader for Life award. Pat was also a beloved business owner of the Frosty Boy and Home Run Pizza in Blissfield with his lifelong partner, Patty. As the owners, they created a welcoming space that brought joy and cherished memories to countless visitors over the years.
Pat’s dedication to service extended far beyond his career. For 35 years, he served as a firefighter for the Blissfield Township Fire Department, demonstrating courage and selflessness in protecting others. His commitment to his community also included serving on the Village Council and as Mayor of Blissfield for over 12 years.
A passionate supporter of youth sports and local events, Pat coached Little League and high school football, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among young athletes. He also sponsored the men’s softball marathon and the car show at the Blissfield River Raisin Festival—events that became beloved traditions under his guidance.
Pat leaves behind a legacy of hard work, community involvement, and steadfast dedication. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him and bring comfort to those who cherished him.
To cherish his memory, Pat leaves his four sons, Matthew (Kristin) Hinde of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Aaron (Elizabeth) Hinde of Blissfield, Micah Hinde of North Palm Beach, Florida, and Adam (Erin) Hinde of Blissfield; lifetime partner, Patty Rank; and eight grandchildren: Vivian, Violet, Vera, Veronica, Victoria, Clara, Mikayla, and Rowen. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services for Pat will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00 am with Fr. Jeff Poll officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Blissfield.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in honor of Pat be made to the Blissfield Township Fire Department.
