Melissa “Missy” Denise Yatzek, age 43, of Hudson, a loving mother and wife was called to be with our Lord on November 28, 2024, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee in Adrian.
Missy was born on January 26, 1981, in Adrian to Merrill Hallett and Colleen Cornell. In 1999, Missy graduated from Morenci Area Schools. She was so grateful to have such caring friends that were there for her throughout her high school years and throughout her life.
Missy married her high school sweetheart, Joel Yatzek, in 2007. They celebrated 17 wonderful years together and raised a family of two children, Gavin and Alivia Yatzek. Missy loved spending time with her family and going to her children’s events. Missy was strong in her faith and was happy to be a part of the Medina Federated Church family.
To cherish her memory, Missy leaves her loving husband, Joel; two children, Gavin and Alivia Yatzek; mother, Colleen (Timothy) Decker; brother, Brandon Hallett; and father and mother in-law, Earl James and Debra Yatzek. She was preceded in death by her father, Merrill Hallett. Missy had so many close relatives and friends and she loved all of them.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Medina Federated Church, 12603 Medina Road, Hudson, MI 49247, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
