
Mable Pearl (Burger) Schulte, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 10, 1930, in Hudson, MI, to George and Mildred (Ames) Burger. Mable lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.
Mable was a proud graduate of Hudson High School, where she laid the foundation for a life of hard work and dedication. She devoted 25 years of her life to the Homer Donaldson Company as a machine operator, retiring in 1994. Her work ethic and commitment were a testament to her character, and she was respected by her colleagues.
On July 22, 1956, Mable married the love of her life, Leon G. Schulte, at the First Baptist Church in Hudson, MI. where she remained a lifelong member. Their union was one of love and companionship, and together they built a family centered around values of kindness and support. Mable was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, and her parents, George and Mildred Burger, a brother DeWitt Burger and a half sister Louise Ames. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her son, Rick (Dawn) Schulte, of Hudson, who will carry forward her spirit and teachings.
Mable was also a devoted grandmother to her two grandchildren, Chad Schulte and his fiancé Sheena, Kassi (Casey) Schultz, who brought her immense joy and pride. Her heart swelled with love for her four great-grandchildren, Paige, Drey, Kaelub, Elizabeth, Elaina and Emmit who were a source of laughter and happiness in her life.
Known for her kind-hearted and loving nature, Mable touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a special talent for crocheting and lovingly created beautiful blankets, which she gifted to her family and friends. Each stitch was a testament to her caring heart, and these blankets will remain treasured keepsakes, reminding her loved ones of her warmth.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson. A service to honor Mable’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 beginning at 12:00 PM. donations in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church in Hudson.
