Tecumseh, MI – The Tecumseh City Council will consider changes to their local solid waste ordinance. In their meeting agenda packet, council will observe a first reading of the proposed amendments for the storage of refuse and recycling containers related to the proposed contract change with Stevens Disposal.
The contract includes changing over to trash carts, instead of plastic bag service. City staff is proposing language that would modify the ordinance language for storage of the containers, to allow for storage on the side of the home or principal structure.
The proposed language would still prohibit storage of the containers in front of the house. The Tecumseh City Council will gather at City Hall on East Chicago Boulevard at 7:30pm.
