Larry Wilson Stephens, age 76, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, at his home. He was born in Haleyville, Alabama to Carl C. Stephens and Doris D. Stephens (Taylor) on August 5, 1948. He graduated Adrian High School in 1966 then attended Northwest Alabama Junior College, where he met his wife, Marlene. They were married June 16, 1968. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University. He served in The United States Army at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Colorado then worked as a Registered Sanitarian beginning in 1975 and ultimately served as Director for the Lenawee County Health Department until his retirement. He enjoyed antique shopping, painting and wood carving. Larry is survived by his daughter, Michelle Michael (Todd) Illenden, of Cincinnati, Ohio; his son, Chad Stephens, of Adrian, Michigan; his grandchildren, Katie Michael, Nicholas Michael and Annika Michael; his brother, Dennis (Linda) Stephens; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Leigh Stephens (Harper) and by his parents, Carl C. and Doris D. Stephens.
