With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Delbert Clure Carter Jr on December 19, 2024 at age 67. He was born May 17, 1957 in Burbank, California to his late parents Delbert Sr and Betty J Burgess Carter Smeaton. Delbert Jr is survived by his children Maggy (Alex), Delbert III (Monish), Wesley (Whitney), and 3 grandchildren. Delbert Jr is also survived by siblings Janet Carter Smith (Norman), Ray J Smeaton, and Jason Smeaton. Also survived by ex-wife Pam Feeser. Delbert Jr was predeceased by sibling, Jattie Smeaton Endfinger and by Gayle Pockalny Carter (ex-wife, mother of his children). Delbert Jr’s passion for life overflowed in every area of his life. He Served in the US Air Force, achieved journeyman’s level working Tool & Die with his Dad, and achieved National Interpreting Certification from Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. He enjoyed gardening, snorkeling, paddleboarding, building & working with computers. He also enjoyed attending CODA conferences, playing online RPG video games, and dressing up in costume for non-profit events. In memory of his life and legacy, a private service with location, time, and date will be later determined.
