John Wayne Carpenter, age 63 , of Hudson, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 , at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson John was born May 29th, 1961 in Jackson, Michigan to Earl and Loretta (Decker) Carpenter. He worked as a laborer in several different industries, but he had a fondness for working in the wood and lumber industry.
John enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, exploring unfamiliar areas, traveling, woodworking and coin collecting. He is survived by his sisters Janet (David) Roper of Cleveland, Tennessee, Chris (Skip) Pratt of Bryan, Ohio, Bonnie Roan of Adrian, Michigan, and Lois (Gary) Cooper of Sebring, FL; Step-Brothers Richard (Denise) Fowler of Addison, Michigan, Melvin (Debbie) Fowler of Napoleon, Michigan, Gary Fowler of Napoleon, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Cornelia Fowler-Carpenter-Taylor and his brother-in-law Lurly Roan, brother and sister-in-law, and Tom (Stacy) Fowler.
