David Walter Stoll, age 77, of Pittsford, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 8, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan to Walter Stoll and Erma (Kuhl) McAlpine. After graduating from high school, David began working as a machinist for Clark Equipment. When that company moved out of state, David started his job as a school bus driver for Pittsford Area Schools. On October 1, 1966, David married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Ellis, in Jackson. They raised a family of two children and celebrated over 58 wonderful years together.
In his spare time, David was an avid outdoorsman as he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting up north in the Atlanta and Gaylord, Michigan area. He also looked forward to his fishing trips he took in Canada.
To cherish his memory, David leaves his loving wife, Barb; two children, Michael (Renee) Stoll and Laura (Dan) Baumgardner; two grandchildren, Ella and Calvin Stoll; two siblings, Brad McAlpine and Brenda (Tim) Humphries; and a nephew, Adam (Cecelia) Stoll. David was preceded in death by his father, Walter Stoll; mother and stepfather, Erma (Russell) McAlpine; and three brothers, Richard McAlpine, Mark McAlpine, and Dennis Stoll.
