Janice Sue Scroggins, age 84 of Adrian, passed away on December 17, 2024, at Hickory Ridge of Temperance.
Janice was born on December 23, 1939, in Harlan County Kentucky the youngest of Thomas and Dollie (Benge) Hacker’s seven children. She graduated from Adrian High School and later worked for Buckeye Products for many years before retiring from General Motors. In her free time, Janice enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. She also liked to watch Fox News and CNN. Janice loved her cat, Missy, very much.
She is survived by her children, Jacque (Eddie) Cansler, Shelley (Mark) LeRoy, Cathy Hoberty, Chad (Karen) Quigley and Jeffrey (Callie) Scroggins; grandson, Jeffrey “Tyler” Scroggins along with 8 other grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Russell “Rusty” Quigley, daughter, Heather Scroggins, 6 sisters and a brother in infancy.
A visitation for Janice will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with funeral services starting at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial to follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to the American Heart Association or to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
