Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission held a discussion regarding the former Adrian Inn building at their Monday night meeting. The Adrian Inn was leased to Housing Help of Lenawee in order to provide temporary housing for the residents of Riverview Terrace after the high rise was evacuated in the summer of 2022.

Despite the Adrian Inn Supportive Housing Program ending on October 30th of this year, the city reported that there are still 30 people still residing at the Adrian Inn, but that vacant rooms are being secured. City Administrator Greg Elliott said at the meeting that the building was, in the city’s opinion, “irreparable.”

Elliot also stated that the city has received interest in the property from several potential buyers, including Adrian College and other hotel operators, but that the city hopes to have the building demolished before a sale is made. If you would like to watch the entire discussion, it begins at the 18 minute mark of this video posted to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5It4o1xcmBA&t=1081s
