Geraldine “Gerry” Louise Chase went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 6, 2024, in Adrian, Michigan.

Gerry was born Geraldine Louise Parkman on July 9, 1944, in Niagara Falls, NY, to Howard and Janine Parkman. Gerry moved to Ohio at the age of 16 and graduated from Cambridge High School Class of 1962. She attended Miami University in Oxford, OH, West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV and Columbus Business University in Columbus, OH.

She was married in 1965 and lived in a variety of places around the country including Bangor, ME, Arlington, MA, South San Francisco, CA, Costa Mesa, CA and Irvine, CA, where she lived from 1984 to 2024. During her career, Gerry worked in high level positions in several companies including Monsanto Chemical Company, Rockwell International, and Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO).

Gerry is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Kevin Andrew Chase and Janeen Lynn (Dunn) Chase; three granddaughters, Emilie Rose, Elisabeth Joy and Elyse Faith from Adrian, Michigan; niece, Suzanne (Parkman) Stommel and her husband Brian and family from West Bend, Wisconsin, and nephew, Richard Parkman and his wife, Nora and their family from Plainfield, Illinois. Gerry is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Janine Parkman, and brother, Alan Parkman.

She led an active life and enjoyed her monthly Bunco group, volunteering at the church library, exercising at the Irvine Senior Center, visiting and dining with a beautiful group of dear friends, attending church women’s retreats, and especially visiting her family in Adrian, Michigan, several times a year before moving there in August of 2024.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, until the time of her funeral services at Noon in the funeral home with her son, Kevin A. Chase, Assistant Pastor of Berean Baptist Church officiating. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
