Caroline “Kate” L. Sawyer, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Hillsdale Medical Care Facility, with great loving care. She was born on April 15, 1930, to Harry and Gladys (Hindee) Phillips in Hudson, Michigan.
After attending school, she went on to work as a housekeeper. Kate loved her family and loved spending time with them. She was a proud member of the Congregational Church in Addison. She enjoyed dancing, and crocheting things for her family and friends.
Left to cherish the memory of Kate are her children, Ralph “Ed” (Arlene) Trumble and Beverley A. Herman, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2great great-grandchildren; and brother, Lavern E. (Cora) Phillips. Preceding her in death are her parents.
Cremation has taken place a private burial will be in Hillside cemetery at a later date.
