Lenawee County, MI – Residents in Ogden Township, Palmyra Township, and Riga Township within Blissfield School District will soon receive revised 2024 Winter Tax bills due to an inadvertent omission of the recently passed Schultz-Holmes District Library millage.

The County issued a statement today that talked about the Schultz-Holmes District Library millage, approved on August 6, 2024, which allows for a levy of up to 1.25 mills on all taxable property within the library district. While preparing the 2024 Winter Tax bills for printing, the County says that this millage was mistakenly omitted.

Revised tax bills, which include the Schultz-Holmes millage listed as “Schultz Holmes,” have been prepared and will arrive on the same date as the original tax bills. Property owners will receive both the original and the revised tax bills. Note that only the revised tax bill should be used for payment.

They apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the understanding of affected property owners. For questions or further clarification, contact:

Shelly DeLong, Lenawee County Equalization Director by phone at: 517-264-4526
