
UPDATE: An 84 year old Deerfield area man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of M-52 and Sutton Road Tuesday afternoon,
Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, and other first responders, were dispatched to the area at around 1:28pm for the crash.
Initial investigation indicated that a dark blue 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was turning south from Sutton Road onto M-52 when he was struck by a dark blue 2020 Ford F150 traveling northbound.
The driver of the Equinox, the 84 year old man from the Deerfield area was taken to Hickman ER after a lengthy extrication where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Ford F150, a 67 year old woman from the Tipton area was transported to Hickman ER with non-life threatening injuries. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor and both drivers appeared to be wearing their seatbelts.
There were no other occupants in the vehicles. The crash remains under investigation.
Raisin Twp., MI – One person died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of M-52 and Sutton Road in Raisin Township.
The Accident Investigator on the scene told WLEN News that a pickup truck was traveling on northbound M-52 when an SUV attempted to turn off of Sutton onto southbound M-52. Both vehicles had a single occupant. The man in the SUV was transported to an area hospital, where he passed away.
The age of the deceased man was not disclosed to WLEN News on the scene. The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office told WLEN News that they will issue a press release with additional information.
